UNA, AUGUST 18

Agriculture Minister Virender Kanwar today held a meeting with officers of the Agriculture Department and the Tea Board at Bangana to explore the scope of tea and coffee cultivation in Kutlehar.

The officers told the minister that coffee plantation was successful in Mahantan village of Chintpurni and the climate and the soil in Kutlehar too were conducive to their cultivation.

Kanwar directed the officers to set up a tea and coffee demonstration plot in Kothian village in Kutlehar and organise a training workshop.

He told the officers to explore the possibility of tea and coffee cultivation in other parts of Una district. — OC
