500 cadets participate in Hoshiarpur NCC camp

HOSHIARPUR: The annual training camp of the 12 Punjab Battalion, NCC, Hoshiarpur, is underway in Padhiana at SBBS University.

Hoshiarpur, December 27

The annual training camp of the 12 Punjab Battalion, NCC, Hoshiarpur, is underway in Padhiana at SBBS University. As many as 500 cadets, including girls, from various colleges and schools of the region are participating in the camp.

Commanding Officer Col JS Sohi said the camp was aimed at making the cadets do team work and understand their responsibility. A special lecture on hygiene was also organised.

Chief officer Tarsem Singh said special emphasis was being given to generate self-discipline and integrity in order to cultivate the art of leadership.

Besides recreational events like dance and singing, career counselling and skill building will also be organised during the camp.

The trainees showed great enthusiasm to learn various techniques.

According to the cadets, such camps should be held on a regular basis to let them get the technical knowhow.
