Ludhiana, November 19

The police arrested a cop who created ruckus at Civil Hospital in Samrala.

A case was registered against the policeman, Parminder Singh, who is an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) in the Ludhiana Commissionerate. The case was registered on the complaint of Dr Oshu Balagan.

Complainant Dr Oshu said on November 17 night, ASI Parminder Singh came to the hospital and claimed that he was not well and he needed some medicine.

“When I started checking the ASI, he started threatening me and even threatened to shoot me. He said he would call Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi to complain against me. We didn’t argue with him and immediately called the police,” revealed the complainant.

Staff of the hospital had also made a video of the ASI in which he can be seen behaving in an inebriate state. Investigation officer ASI Joginder Singh said the accused ASI was arrested yesterday.
