Ludhiana, August 25
The Health Department on Wednesday confirmed one case of Covid-19 in the district. Now, there are 34 active cases in the district. Of them, one patient is on ventilator support. Besides, three cases of other districts or states were also confirmed here today.
A total of 87,458 positive cases from Ludhiana district and 11,655 from other districts have been confirmed.
The department has confirmed death of 2,096 patients of Ludhiana district and 1,048 of other districts due to Covid-19.
In the wake of the upcoming festive season, which is just around the corner and witnesses a large gathering of people, Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Wednesday urged the people to strictly observe physical distancing, hand hygiene, wear mask besides getting the life-saving jab without fail to prevent the third wave of the pandemic.
