Ludhiana: Students of Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Gujarkhan Campus, Model Town, excelled in PGDCA first semester examinations held in December, 2023. According to college authorities, Ashneet Kaur bagged the first position in Panjab University by scoring 91.3 per cent marks. Archi Jain secured the second position in the university with 90.67 per cent, while Jeevika Pansari came in fifth with 87.56 per cent. The college governing body and principal congratulated the students.

Government College for Girls

Government College for Girls organised a seminar on ‘Drug Addiction — A Menace to Humans: Issues, Challenges and Solutions.’ The event was graced by intellectuals from various universities and colleges from across the northern region. Principal Suman Lata presented the welcome address.

Dr Sarabjit Singh, Professor of Journalism, PAU, was the keynote speaker of the seminar.

Arya College Girls Section

Bodh Utsav of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati was celebrated at Arya College Girls Section on the occasion of his 200th birth anniversary. An exhibition dedicated to his life and works was organised by the Sanskrit Department with an aim to make the students aware of the Vedic values advocated by him. Principal Dr Suksham Ahluwalia said the Maharishi gave the slogan ‘return to the vedas’ for human welfare.
