Ludhiana, August 25
Civil Surgeon Dr Kiran Ahluwalia inaugurated the PCV immunisation programme at the Civil Hospital, Ludhiana, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar. Introducing the vaccine, the DC said it would be administered free of cost in all government hospitals. District Immunization Officer Dr Raj Kumar said the vaccine would be given in routine immunisation of children at six weeks, 14 weeks and nine months and each child would be given three doses. The group staff has been alerted about this vaccine. This is a good operation by the Health Department. — TNS
