Ludhiana, January 24

After the matter of electricity transformer poles causing obstruction to traffic near Krishna Mandir in Model Town Extension was brought to the attention of the Punjab State Human Rights Commission, the PSPCL has initiated work to shift them.

The MC and PSPCL took requisite measures by submitting around Rs 60,000 to PSPCL for the relocation of the transformer. The petitioner said the transformer and the poles were not only causing traffic jams in the area but also posed a threat of accidents.
