The school hosted a cancer awareness workshop on its campus. Dr Meenakshi Sharma of IVY Hospital, Mohali, shared valuable insights with all staff members. The workshop aimed at equipping the school team with knowledge about cancer prevention, treatment, and early detection. According to Dr Meenakshi Sharma, there are various types of cancer but the most common cancers that affect people in India are lung, breast, cervical, neck, brain, and colorectal cancer. She said lifestyle is a major cause of cancer. Early symptoms of cancer, ways of prevention, and diagnosis were discussed. Manav Singla, president of the school, gave the message to lead an active life, combined with healthy food habits, which is the key to good health.
