Several organisations came out in streets in favour of the farmers’ agitation and condemned the Union Government for its repressive attitude towards the farmers’ agitation.



Tarn Taran: Several organisations came out in streets in favour of the farmers’ agitation and condemned the Union Government for its repressive attitude towards the farmers’ agitation. Workers belonging to Shiv Sena (Bal Thackery), under the leadership of Ashwani Kumar Kukku, state leader of the organisation, sat on a hunger strike here on Saturday. Workers of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, Punjab, led by Harpreet Singh Sidhwan, workers of the Revolutionary Marxist Party of India (RMPI) led by Baldev Singh Pandori and workers of the CPI led by state leader Prithipal Singh Marimegha organised gathering in different villages of the district and burnt the effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani and the other running corporate houses. The leaders warned the Union Government against the repressive tactics to suppress the farmers’ agitation. Workers of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satikar Committee Bir Baba Budha Sahib and the workers of Pardeep Katal Kand Action Committee organised a march in the town and appealed to the people to observe the bandh on December 8 in favour of the farmers. The operators of the Combine Sangharsh Committee, Punjab, too lodged its protest at the Usman Toll Plaza and announced to participate in the Bandh call of December 8. Teachers, under the banner of Government School Teachers Union, Punjab, and the farmers of the border area led by Balkar Singh Valtoha state leaders of the teachers’ union lodged protest in Gandiwind and demanded the rollback of the farm laws.
