Baj Singh, a resident of Gaggobua and his two sons, had a narrow escape when they were fired at by a group of eight armed men. Baj Singh has lodged a complaint with the Chabal police against the accused in this regard.
Baj Singh said that Yadwinder Singh Yada of the village wanted to take his son to get heroin from some drug peddler but he refused to accompany him. He said that Yadwinder Singh threatened to kill his son Rachhapal Singh on his mobile, and in a fit of anger, Yadwinder Singh along with his associates Jagdeep Singh Jaggu, Avtar SinghTari, Arashdeep Singh Arsh, Gurdev Singh Geba and three unidentified armed miscreants, came in front of his house and opened fire at them. Baj Singh said he and his sons managed to save themselves by taking shelter on a rooftop.
ASI Ram Singh said that a case under Section 307, 148 and 149 of IPC and Section 25, 27, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act has been registered by Chabal police on Monday.
