Prayers and recitation of hymns from Gurbani on Wednesday marked the ‘Ardas Diwas’ at historic Khalsa College. Students, staff and teaching fraternity came out together with the management to organise the prayers for invoking the blessings from almighty on the beginning of new academic session.

Giani Raghbir Singh, Jathedar, Takht Keshgarh Sahib, addressed the gathering of  students and stressed on the need to impart moral education along with conventional dissemination of knowledge while Bhai Balwinder Singh Lopoke recited verses from Guru Granth Sahib. The Ardas was performed by Bhai Surjit Singh. Khalsa College governing council secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina said moral values were certainly decreasing in the society. He asked the youth to follow the path shown by our revered Gurus. The religious function was part of the management’s tradition of seeking blessings of the almighty to start the new session.
