NCC camp: City girl wins second position in firing contest

AMRITSAR: Bringing laurels to the institution, Cadet Ritu Poria of the BBK DAV College for Women completed All India NCC Thal Sena Camp held at New Delhi.

Bringing laurels to the institution, Cadet Ritu Poria of the BBK DAV College for Women completed All India NCC Thal Sena Camp held at New Delhi.

Ritu Poria was the only cadet from the 1st Punjab Girl’s Battalion to be selected for the prestigious camp.

During the camp, she secured the second position in overall firing competition, winning a cash prize of Rs 10,800. College principal Dr Pushpinder Walia applauded her achievements and said she had set an example for others.

She said the college always provided cadets with a state-of-the-art infrastructure and training and due to this, NCC cadets of the institution make a mark at prestigious camps.
