Heroin recovered from jail inmate

The Patti sub-jail authorities recovered three gram of heroin from the possession of jail inmate, identified as Avtar Singh Dholan. The DSP (jail) in his complaint to the city police said the accused had hidden the consignment in his pocket. The accused has been booked under Section 42 of the Prison Act and 21,61,85 of the NDPS Act.
