Six nabbed with narcotic substances

AMRITSAR: The city police have nabbed six persons including two women for allegedly possessing narcotic substances during the past 24-hours.

Amritsar, April 15

The city police have nabbed six persons including two women for allegedly possessing narcotic substances during the past 24-hours.

Those arrested were identified as Davinder Singh Dhillon of Hussainpura, Satwinder Singh alias Goldy of Sharifpura, Arun Singh alias Goru of Aman Avenue located on Majitha Road, Rajesh Kumar Soni of Tandan Nagar situated on Batala Road, Manjit Kaur of Subhash Colony and Paramjit Kaur of Rasulpur Kallar.

While Davinder and Satwinder were nabbed with 770 gm of narcotic powder, Arun was held for possessing 220 gm of intoxicant powder. Rajesh Soni was arrested with 240 gm narcotic powder. Manjit and Paramjit was arrested for possessing 6 kg and 4 kg bhang respectively.

“All the accused have been booked under the NDPS Act and further investigations are under progress,” said officials of the Police Department.
