Event on plastic waste at city’s SSD college

BATHINDA: An awareness programme on plastic pollution was organised at SSD Professional College of Studies, Bhokhra.

An awareness programme on plastic pollution was organised at SSD Professional College of Studies, Bhokhra.

Assistant professors Jagdeep Singh, Loveneet Singh, Sukhpal Kaur , Harjinderpal Kaur made people aware of the harmful effects of plastic bags. The event started from MSD school and ended at AC market in city. College principal Rajesh Singla said plastic pollution meant the accumulation of plastic objects in the earth’s environment that adversely affected wildlife, wildlife habitat and also humans. To reduce its effect, we should bring reusable shopping and produce bags to markets and avoid using single-use plastic bags.

Students gave a message to shun plastic through charts and slogans. They also took an oath to only use eco-friendly bags in their future.
