Bathinda: To commemorate World Heritage Day, students of Shivalik Public School, Jaitu, visited the Bathinda fort built in the 12th century. The day is celebrated every year on April 18. The day is also known as International Day for Monuments and Sites. The day is celebrated to raise the awareness about the diversity of cultural heritage, monuments and their relevance, how vulnerable they can be and what are the needs and benefits of their conservation.
