26-yr-old biker killed in mishap

CHANDIGARH: A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed after he met with an accident with a truck in Sector 50 today.

A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed after he met with an accident with a truck in Sector 50 today.

The police said they received information about the accident near a government school in Sector 50 around 3.20 pm.

The victim has been identified as Amritpal Singh, a resident of Jhujhar Nagar, Mohali, who was riding a Bullet motorcycle when it met with an accident with a truck.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital (Government Medical College and Hospital), Sector 32, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

The victim was working as a security guard at Government Model Primary School in Sector 49.

The police said the truck driver had been identified as Choudhary Paswan, a resident of Dhanas.

The police have registered a case against the truck driver at the Sector 49 police station. He was arrested by the police. The truck was also impounded.
