Patiala, February 24

The Department of Cultural Affairs and Tourism and the district administration organised a polo match at New Polo Ground on Sunday. 

It was part of the heritage festival was held here. The Bahadurgarh team defeated the team of Qila Mubarak 7-6 and won the title of the Patiala Heritage Festival Polo Cup.

Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh was the chief guest on the occasion. He was accompanied by Preneet Kaur, former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and others.

During the match, the Bahadurgarh team maintained their lead in all four rounds.

In the first two rounds, the Bahadurgarh players scored 3 points, which proved to be important to win the match with a margin of one point.

Later, students of Punjab Public School (PPS), Nabha, also exhibited their horse-riding skills. They exhibited various acts, including saluting while standing on the horse, triple tent pegging and handkerchief.
