Cops book five for submitting fake NOC

KHARAR:The police have booked five people for submitting fake no-objection certificates (NOCs) at the Kharar Municipal Council around six months ago.

Kharar, April 23

The police have booked five people for submitting fake no-objection certificates (NOCs) at the Kharar Municipal Council around six months ago.

The accused have been identified as Karm Chand, Avneet Singh, Harmanpreet Singh, Sobha and Swaran Singh.

It is pertinent to mention that the MC’s Executive Officer on January 4 had complained to the police that a mobile tower was being installed on the rooftop at Western Homes.

The company had submitted an NOC (No. 472 dated 20.12.2018) to get the electricity connection. However, the MC found that the NOC was not issued by their office.

The Executive Officer had alleged that the company concerned had prepared fake document.  SHO Bhagwant Singh Riar said a case has been registered under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 and 120 B against five people. —OC
