Zirakpur: Local MLA NK Sharma on Thursday alleged that four illegal liquor vends were still running in the town. The MLA said the authorities should conduct a survey of all liquor vends and take action. The MLA alleged that the Excise Department had allotted 25 liquor vends in the city 29 were being run, including the one which was vandalised by some women at Lohgarh village. He accused the authorities of looking the other way. On the other hand, excise officials said if found true, action would be against the culprits. —OC
