Yajat, Hardik, Lakshya qualify for main draw

CHANDIGARH:Yajat Khanna came from behind to defeat Damanpreet Singh and qualify for the main draw of the boys’ U-14 category in the STA-AITA Talent Series (TS-7) Championship at Chandigarh Club Sector 1.

Yajat Khanna came from behind to defeat Damanpreet Singh and qualify for the main draw of the boys’ U-14 category in the STA-AITA Talent Series (TS-7) Championship at Chandigarh Club Sector 1. 

Khanna lost the first set 3-6 but registered a 6-4 win in the next set. In the decider, Khanna won the tie-breaker 7-6 (8). Hardik Khanduja overpowered Vishal 6-3 6-1. In the boys’ U-16 category, Lakshya Gupta registered a win against Dakshit Arora. Gupta lost the first set 3-6 but won the next two sets 6-0 6-0 to confirm his place in the main draw. Fathehyab Singh defeated Uday Jyoti 7-5 7-6 (8), while Yashvardhan Gaur registered a 6-1 6-0 victory against Shlok Rajput. Harsh Arora logged a 6-4 6-1 victory over Aryan Aggarwal. Anirudh Mukherjee defeated Achyut Bist 6-1 6-4. Kartik Sunil defeated Ayaan Anand 6-1 6-1 and Anuj Pal recorded a 3-6 6-4 6-1 win against Bhavkaran Lehar.
