Woman held after evading arrest for 8 yrs

NEW DELHI: The police today arrested a woman absconder, who was wanted in a cheating case for the past eight years, from Aman Vihar, said a police official. Simmi (33), a resident of Vikaspuri, had a reward of Rs 25,000 on her.

The police today arrested a woman absconder, who was wanted in a cheating case for the past eight years, from Aman Vihar, said a police official. Simmi (33), a resident of Vikaspuri, had a reward of Rs 25,000 on her.

During interrogation, she said in 2009 her gang members namely Sachin and Ajmal Ansar hatched a conspiracy to sell vacant plots in Inder Enclave.

hey prepared forged documents of a 50 sq yards vacant plot. She posed as the owner of the plot and sold the plot to Suresh Kumar. 

When Kumar realised that he had been cheated he got a case registered. 

Meanwhile, Simmi shifted her residence from Vikaspuri to Uttam Nagar to evade police action. — TNS
