Cops take Bheora on parole to Mohali

MOHALI: The Chandigarh Police today brought Paramjit Singh Bheora, a convict in Punjab former Chief Minister Beant Singh assassination case, on two-hour parole to attend his father’s funeral at the Mohali Cremation Ground near Balongi, here.

The Chandigarh Police today brought Paramjit Singh Bheora, a convict in Punjab former Chief Minister Beant Singh assassination case, on two-hour parole to attend his father’s funeral at the Mohali Cremation Ground near Balongi, here.

Bheora’s father Jagjit Singh, who lived in Sector 70, here, was ill for some time now.

Earlier, Bheora, who has been lodged in Burail Jail, Chandigarh, was taken in a tight security to the cremation ground.

A large posse of Mohali police was also present at the venue. Bheora was not allowed to talk to anybody except his close family members. He was immediately taken back after the cremation.
