Having had a stint in Bollywood and Kollywood, Delhi girl Mansha Bahl is eyeing Pollywood next. Kicked about doing Punjabi video for Alfaaz and Honey Singh, she is looking forward to getting in Pankaj Batra’s next, a family drama.

Mansha, who got spotted by producer Sanjay Ahluwalia and did a cameo opposite Arjun Rampal, has completed five years of relocating to Mumbai. Having done itsy bitsy roles in Rascals, Fugly and Spark, she tried her luck in the South and found it a tough game.

“Acting is no more just about looking good in front of the camera. You got to keep in mind how well you can live the part with the body language, expressions in sync,” says Mansha, who finds the language the toughest bit. “The night prior to the shoot, I feel as if it is an exam. I try taking proper diction classes so as to sound authentic on screen.”

In Hindi and Punjabi, she feels at home. “I am a Delhi born Punjabi and it feels great to get connected with the roots,” says Mansha, who is happy to be part of Honey Singh and Alfaz’s upcoming romantic number.

“I am also doing a Hindi music video by T-series,” she shares. Life isn’t easy in a different city with the uncertainty of work. But Mansha is not the one to pack her bags and quit. “Every new project makes me feel like being on the top of the world, every failure only challenges me to do better. I do ask why I am being rejected, if the reason is genuine, I improve, if not I find it their loss.” While acting is where Mansha finds her calling, it’s dance, meditation and workout that complete her day.  Fond of hip hop and salsa, she trains with celeb trainer Abbas Ali for two hours a day.

Her icon remains Kangana Ranaut, who by her sheer grit has reached the top slot in film industry. Any dream roles, “Something like what Urmila Matondkar did in Pinjar is what I would only be too happy to essay.” Good luck!
