Solan, January 12

Chance recovery of a Pakistan currency note near the Army ground at Subathu Cantonment has alerted the police and Army officials.

Parwanoo DSP Pramod Chauhan said ward member Sumit Gill had found a Pakistani currency note in the Army ground today. Though the source of the currency could not be found, it has alerted the police, who have been maintaining a vigil on the movement of migrant workers laying BSNL cables in the town. The information has also been shared with the Army authorities of the cantonment area.

Since the area houses a crucial cantonment, the presence of Pakistani currency is being viewed as a serious issue.—TNS
