HAU signs pact with Kabul varsity

HISAR: Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Kabul University, Afghanistan, here on Friday.

Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Kabul University, Afghanistan, here on Friday.

A university spokesperson said Animal Husbandry, Dairy and Fisheries Minister Giriraj Singh, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry Sanjeev Balyan and Vice Chancellor KP Singh were present on the occasion. SK Sehrawat, director of research, HAU, and Prof Ghulam Rasui Faizi, on behalf of Kabul University, signed the MoU.

Vice Chancellor KP Singh said the objective of the MoU was to facilitate mentoring and training for Kabul’s technical and academic institutes in the areas of research and extension. He hoped that this would give an opportunity to strengthen the relations of both sides and benefit the capacity development of agricultural and vocational institutes of Afghanistan. — TNS
