3 nabbed for gangrape in Dehra

KANGRA: A 26-year-old woman and resident of Sanasarpur Terrace village has lodged an FIR with the Dehra police that she was gangraped by three youths in April this year.

A 26-year-old woman and resident of Sanasarpur Terrace village has lodged an FIR with the Dehra police that she was gangraped by three youths in April this year. The police have registered a case and arrested the accused today.

Sub Divisional Police Officer Dehra Renu Sharma said the victim lodged a report with the Dehra police yesterday that in the first week of April she was to go to Talwara from her village. Satish Kumar, 21, resident of same village, offered her a lift on his motorcycle.

The SDPO said the victim alleged that on reaching near Talwara, she was taken by Satish Kumar to an isolated place where two of his friends, Rajan, 39, of Mukerian and Raman Kumar, 21, of Sathana village were already waiting for them and she was allegedly gangraped by them.

Renu Sharma said she also alleged that they snatched her two earrings and other gold ornaments and threatened her to kill.

The DSP said the police had registered a case under and arrested all three accused and started investigation.

She said the victim was sent for the medical examination too.
