At -9.2°C, Keylong is coldest in state

SHIMLA: Lahaul-Spiti district in Himachal Pradesh continued to shiver at minus 9 degrees Celsius temperature on Wednesday, the meteorological department said.

Lahaul-Spiti district in Himachal Pradesh continued to shiver at minus 9 degrees Celsius temperature on Wednesday, the meteorological department said.

Keylong continued to be the coldest place in the state with a low of minus 9.2 degrees Celsius, Shimla Meteorological Centre director Manmohan Singh said.

Kinnaur’s Kalpa recorded a minimum temperature of minus 0.6 degrees Celsius.

Manali recorded a low of zero degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperatures in Kufri, Dalhousie and Shimla were 5.8, 6.9 and 7 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Similarly, the minimum temperature in Sundernagar was recorded as 1.8 degrees Celsius, whereas it was 2.9 degrees Celsius in Chamba on Wednesday, the weather department added. — PTI
