Jammu, February 17

The BJP on Sunday took serious note of  sloganeering allegedly by some government employees putting up in official accommodations in Jammu and demanded strict action against them.

The BJP said the employees had raised slogans in favour of Pakistan and azadi.

Chief spokesman for the BJP Sunil Sethi said such provocative slogans could not be justified.

Sethi said it was being deliberately done by a segment of the government employees to vitiate communal harmony in Jammu and create mistrust between Hindu and Muslims of Jammu, who had traditionally lived in peace and harmony. He called upon the state administration to identify the black sheep and punish them.

The BJP spokesman alleged that Kashmiri politicians and their stooges in Jammu were making concerted efforts to divide society on religious lines. “The police should book these anti-nationals under detention laws,” he said

“Efforts to spread fangs of separatism are being systematically planned in Jammu and such activities increase manifold after the Durbar move,” he said.

Sethi said people of Jammu would never allow their land to be used for anti-national utterances and people indulging in sloganeering should stand warned. He appealed to the people to maintain communal harmony.
