Suspected swine flu patient admitted to PGIMER

KHAMANO: A resident of Bilaspur village was referred to the PGIMER in Chandigarh with suspected swine flu symptoms. Kashmira Singh, who is the personal secretary of MP Prem Singh Chandumajra, had fever a week ago and when his condition did not improve, he was admitted to a private hospital at Khamano.

A resident of Bilaspur village was referred to the PGIMER in Chandigarh with suspected swine flu symptoms.

Kashmira Singh, who is the personal secretary of MP Prem Singh Chandumajra, had fever a week ago and when his condition did not improve, he was admitted to a private hospital at Khamano. He had sore throat, high fever and his platelet count also decreased. He was also having problem breathing.

Kashmira was then referred to the PGIMER in Chandigarh, where he is receiving treatment. As per sources, Kashmira’s case was taken up by Prof Prem Singh Chandumajra with PGI authorities and he was provided with the swine flu kit by the hospital. He is under observation. However, when SMO Khamano Rashmi Chopra was contacted in this regard, she expressed ignorance and said they have no information about this. DC Fatehgarh Sahib Kanwalpreet Brar said she would direct CMO Fatehagarh Sahib to look into the matter. — OC
