Quadrangular Cricket.

IN some of quarters in Bombay a doubt was expressed as to the eligibility of Mr. Tarrant, the famous Middlesex professional, to play in the Quadrangular Cricket Tournament on the ground that the selection of the Presidency team was limited to the Presidency of Bombay and the Southern Command and that as Mr. Tarrant was on the staff of His Highness the Maharaja of Patiala his stay in Poona was only temporary. The Presidency Selection Committee thereupon enquired from the Indian Gymkhana whether they had any objection to his playing for the Presidency. The reply has been what could be expected from such fine sportsmen as the Indian cricketers in Bombay are, that they have not the least objection to him taking part in the Tournament.
