Washington: A small US city near Los Angeles has announced that it will introduce a ‘RoboCop’ or a robot police to monitor public areas.

Washington: A small US city near Los Angeles has announced that it will introduce a ‘RoboCop’ or a robot police to monitor public areas. The device, dubbed “HP RoboCop”, will be deployed in Huntington Park, a 50,000-resident city.  The autonomous data machine will use 360-degree HD video  to “act as an extra set of eyes and monitor areas such as parks, buildings and corridors where police might not have the time to consistently patrol”. New Zealander jailed for sharing mosque shooting video

Wellington: A New Zealand man was jailed for 21 months on Tuesday for distributing livestream video of the Christchurch mosque attacks that killed 51 persons. Philip Arps, 44, was arrested in Christchurch four days after alleged gunman Brenton Tarrant’s March 15 rampage at two mosques resulted in the worst massacre in modern New Zealand history. Arps pleaded guilty to two charges of distributing objectionable material for sharing footage that was livestreamed to social media during the attack. PTI

London: A teenage neo-Nazi who called for Prince Harry a race traitor months after his marriage to US actress Meghan Markle and suggested he should be shot was jailed for more than four years on Tuesday, the BBC reported. Michel Szewczuk, 19, posted far-right online propaganda which included an image of Harry with a gun to his head with the caption “See Ya Later Race Traitor”.  Reuters
