70% of 50K applicants appear for PPSC preliminary exams

Patiala, February 13

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) conducted its civil services combined competitive (preliminary) examinations at nine districts in the state today.

The exams were conducted at as many as 171 centres across nine districts in the state for the first time.

Officials said the exams wereconducted at various centres in Patiala, Jalandhar, Nawanshahr, Kapurthala, Barnala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Ludhiana, Sangrur and Mohali. Navreet Kaur Sekhon, Secretary (Examinations), PPSC, said 70 per cent out of nearly 50,000 applicants, who had applied, appeared in the preliminary examinations.
