Haryana issues relieving order of new UT DC

Chandigarh: The Haryana Government  has    issued a   relieving  order of  Mandip Singh Brar, a state-cadre IAS officer of the 2005 batch, to join as the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the UT. The  Chief Secretary, Haryana, issued the order today.The three-year tenure of  Ajit  Balaji  Joshi as the UT Deputy Commissioner is about to end on  October 29. — TNS

Chandigarh: The city is likely to see a cloudy weather on Wednesday and Thursday.As per the local branch of the Meteorological Department, there are chances of the city experiencing drizzle at scattered places. Days have already started getting colder over the past few days. This winter is expected to be colder and foggier due to heavy rains in the past.As per the forecast, the maximum temperature will be 32°C tomorrow and the minimum 17°C. — TNS

Dengue stings 4 more in city

Chandigarh: Four fresh case of dengue and one of malaria was reported in the city on Tuesday. For the past few days, around three to four cases of vector-borne diseases are being reported every day. A dengue case each was reported from Sectors 41 and 51, Burail and Mauli Jagran.
