Crafts mela: Plays, folk dances mark Day 2

Patiala, February 23

A number of plays were staged at Sheesh Mahal as part of the ongoing heritage festival and crafts mela on the second day today. Artistes associated with the North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC) presented folk dances of Assam, Manipur, Odisha and Rajasthan.

Dr Preeti Yadav, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) (Development), said that people from various areas attended the festival. The National Theatre Arts Society enacted plays ‘Sukki Kukh’, ‘Awesle Yudhan Di Nayeka’, ‘Kirat Satkar’ and ‘Vichari Maa’.

Samana Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Naman Markan said that kid’s point and selfie point were also part of the event.
