In order to avoid waterlogging, authorities of the Yamunanagar-Jagadhri Municipal Corporation have asked the agencies (contractor/agency engaged in the cleaning work) to undertake cleaning work of nullahs on a war footing.

The MC authorities have warned the agencies that if the cleaning work is not completed on time, they would be fined for the delay.

To check the ongoing cleaning work of nullahs, Additional Municipal Commissioner Dheeraj Kumar also inspected several areas of Yamunanagar on Wednesday.

Kumar inspected the cleaning work of nullahs near the Panchayat Bhawan, Jabbiwala Gurdwara, Masih Hospital, Tarapuri railway line culvert, Farakpur, Vishnu Nagar culvert, Vishwakarma chowk and Joria Gurdwara. During the inspection, he was not satisfaction and asked the concerned agency to remove silt properly.
