JALANDHAR: CT World School celebrated its 1st annual day function, ‘Avirav’—bold and fearless—with a myriad of celebrations replete with music, dances and hues of colours amidst zest.

CT World School celebrated its 1st annual day function, ‘Avirav’—bold and fearless—with a myriad of celebrations replete with music, dances and hues of colours amidst zest.

Shayari Malhotra, Assistant Commissioner (General), graced the occasion as the chief guest. CT Group chairman Charanjit S Channi, co-chairperson Parminder Kaur Channi, managing director Manbir Singh, vice-chairman Harpreet Singh and parents of school students were also present on the occasion.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the ‘Shabad gayan’. Madhu Sharma, principal, CT World School, formally welcomed the eminent guests and presented the brief round-up of the school with an annual report. She thanked everyone for their contribution in the journey.

Accolades were bestowed upon to the exceptional and outstanding performers in the fields of scholastic, co-scholastic and sports.

The performers of the school presented thematic play ‘Avirav’, depicting the concept of gender equality. The programme rode to a final crescendo with the fervent “folk dance” which added élan to the function.

The chief guest in her address urged the students to hone and sharpen their talents and potentials to carve a niche for the nation. — TNS
