Novel initiative to boost employment

NAWANSHAHR: To give fillip to the Ghar Ghar Rozgar Mission, the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises (DBEE), Nawanshahr, has devised a novel idea to boost employment in the district.

Nawanshahr, July 10

To give fillip to the Ghar Ghar Rozgar Mission, the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises (DBEE), Nawanshahr, has devised a novel idea to boost employment in the district.

Launching the initiative here at the DBEE, ADC-cum-Chief Executive Officer, DBEE, Anupam Kler, said a number of boxes with a name tag of ‘Reference banking’ would be installed at various business centres/shops in the district to facilitate entrepreneurs. Any businessman or entrepreneur can put his/her demand of manpower with requisite qualification, experience and job profile in the box during his/her visit to these points.

After a stipulated period, the slips would be sent to the DBEE through the departments concerned to whom the business centre/shop is related. For the purpose, the departments would designate department relationship officers to coordinate with the centre/shop owner.

After completion of the process, an interview would be arranged for the businessman/entrepreneur within days.

She said the idea was given by the chairman of GRD College, Harpreet Singh, to Deputy Commissioner Vinay Bublani recently. After working on the idea, it was given a practical shape, she added.

District Employment Generation and Training officer Rupinder Kaur said bureau had a lot of job aspirants registered with it.

“As soon as we get a demand for manpower, we would be able to provide employment to these aspirants as per their choice,” said Kumar.

“This novel idea would be helpful for job aspirants as well as employers too as they would not have to move here and there to find suitable candidates for their business trade,” said Harpreet while giving a presentation to participants.  —  TNS
