The local unit of Rotary Club has distributed equipment among patients and physically challenged persons, besides providing vending carts for rehabilitation of two economically weaker families.
The office-bearers of the club led by president Dr Puneet Dhawan and former president Ajay Jain handed over items to representatives of social, religious, medical and educational organisations.
Project convener Dr Ravinder Sharma informed that two oxygen concentrators and 21 folding wheelchairs normally used by elderly persons and patients were donated to various organisations.
Club members started the event after paying obeisance at Gurdwara Guru Ravidas, Jandali Road, during the concluding session of Nishan Sahib hoisting ceremony. Two carts were donated to economically weaker families for opening vegetable and fruit vends.
