Cricketer Harbhajan Singh on Thursday clarified that he was not joining any political party.

He was reacting to the media reports that said that the Congress was toying with the idea of fielding him from Amritsar Lok Sabha seat.

The off-spinner said he was actually the brand ambassador of the Election Commission, appointed by its Jalandhar office.                       

He said he had given it in writing about three weeks ago that he would not align with any political party.
