Discharge duty in a timely manner:DC

Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar, Varinder Kumar Sharma, on Friday directed the officials to ensure timely and effective delivery of the services to the people approaching their offices.

Conducting an inspection of various subordinate branches at the Administrative Complex, including miscellaneous, arms licence, registry, head clerk, nazar branch and sadar kanugo. the DC showed satisfaction on the performance of the branches and motivated them to facilitate the people in getting in their day-to-day works done easily.

He told the branch heads that there should not be any kind of mismanagement in the functioning and people must not be suffered for getting their works done.

The DC asked them to achieve the target of zero per cent pendency as this would instil the trust among the people over the government and its functioning.— TNS
