Meanwhile, 10,660 polling officials have been deputed for conducting polls in 11 Assembly constituencies of the Amritsar district. Today, third and final training of the staff was conducted at different places in the presence of respective returning officers. The DC visited training centres and appreciated and encouraged the polling staff. He also interacted with them. Every booth would have a micro observer, who would report to the Election Commission, the DC said.

“Every booth will be under the CCTV surveillance, which will be connected with the main server so that every returning officer and district election officers could watch it,” the DC added. Third and final randomisation of the polling staff would be conducted tomorrow, the DC said.
