A medical camp was also organised on the occasion to provide necessary and immediate medical cover to those in need. The Army spokesman said it stands for its soldiers always whether they are in service or after retirement.

The rally was to convey gratitude to all Veer Naris, Veer Matas, senior veterans and ex-servicemen for their solemn and selfless service to the nation, society and the armed forces. As the rally was expected to be attended by large number of veterans, Veer Naris/ Veer Matas and their dependents, this is also seen as an opportunity for the Army to guide, educate our veterans and their next of kin to enable them to live a dignified retired life.
