Three migrant labourers die after consuming poisonous food

Tarn Taran: Three migrant labourers died after consuming poisonous food in Mari Nau Abad, a border village falling under police station Bhikhiwind, on Wednesday night.

Three migrant labourers died after consuming poisonous food in Mari Nau Abad, a border village falling under police station Bhikhiwind, on Wednesday night.

The deceased have been identified Rahul (32), Komal (13) and Supan (25). While Rahul and Komal were from Bihar, Supan was from West Bengal. SHO Sukhchain Singh said the deceased were experts in plaster of paris (POP) work and were in the village for the past two years. 

The SHO said the deceased had prepared mutton at night but in the dark some poisonous substance got mixed in the food. After taking the food, they went to bed.

Komal and Supan were found dead in the morning while Rahul died at a hospital. The police have registered a report under Section 174 of the CrPC on a statement of Sahil, brother of Rahul.
