Amritsar: The Beas police have nabbed Sukhraj Singh and Gurwinder Singh of Bhaini Ram Dayal village for allegedly possessing illegal weapons.



Amritsar: The Beas police have nabbed Sukhraj Singh and Gurwinder Singh of Bhaini Ram Dayal village for allegedly possessing illegal weapons. A rifle and a .315 bore pistol along with four cartridges were seized. A case under the Arms Act was registered against them. According to information, they were intercepted at a police checkpoint (naka) near the village drain. The police are trying to ascertain whom did they procure it from and the motive for possessing the weapons.

Amritsar: Shri Ram Ashram Public School has been organising a one-month skill development crash courses in spoken English and beauty as part of its social outreach programme during summer vacations. The programme will conclude on July 4. Balbir Bajaj, president of the school, said, “It will be helpful to generate employment and self-employment opportunities. The programme got an overwhelming response from the youth belonging to all sections of the society.”
