Man admitted to hospital dies

BATHINDA: An injured man, who was admitted to the Civil Hospital by a city-based NGO two days ago, succumbed to his injuries here on Friday.



Bathinda: An injured man, who was admitted to the Civil Hospital by a city-based NGO two days ago, succumbed to his injuries here on Friday. Members of the Sahara Jansewa Society had found the injured man near platform No. 6 at the city railway station. His body was swollen and appeared quiet pale. The NGO members admitted him in the emergency unit of the Civil Hospital. Later, after initial treatment, he underwent blood transfusion. On Friday, his condition worsened and died in the hospital. The deceased has been identified as Gursewak Singh, a resident of Gharsana Mandi in Ganganagar district of Rajasthan. The NGO members informed the GRP. Later, the body was kept at the hospital mortuary. TNS

Material sent to flood-hit areas 

Muktsar: Residents of Peori village in Gidderbaha subdivision here on Friday sent relief material to flood-affected areas. The district administration appreciated the efforts of the village residents. Meanwhile, the Youth Akali Dal (YAD) is also collecting food material in villages, which will be sent to the affected people. TNS
