The police conducted a search at the Central Jail situated in Gobindpura village on Saturday.
SSP Dr Nanak Singh said around 200 police men on Saturday searched the Central Jail for three hours. The SSP said it was a routine checking, which is conducted on regular intervals.
He said, “The search was headed by SP (City) Gurmeet Singh. Rachpal Singh, SHO of the Civil Lines police station; Narinder Kumar, SHO of the Cantonment police station; and Bhupinder Singh, SHO of Nathana police station were a part of the police team. Every barrack was checked but nothing objectionable was recovered.”— TNS
