Chandigarh, May 10

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to award teachers for preparing teaching aids for students.

For this, affiliated schools have been given a platform — CBSE School Teachers’ Teaching Aids/Material Competition — to showcase their efforts in the development and use of innovative teaching aids.

The board has asked the teachers to prepare the aids, one each for language, mathematics, science and social sciences, including humanities and commerce subjects, at all levels — primary, middle, secondary and senior secondary.

The rationale behind awarding teachers is to encourage creative and innovative classroom demonstrations and to provide teachers with an opportunity to share their innovative approach and ideas.

Through the competition, the board aims to highlight the importance of aid in the teaching-learning process.

The teaching aids will be prepared for the students of primary level (Classes I-V), middle level (Classes VI-VIII) and secondary and senior secondary level (Classes IX-X)
