10-year-old boy dies in freak mishap

A 10-year-old boy got accidentally strangled to death while playing at his residence at Sohana village here today. 

The deceased has been identified as Ikhlaq Khan, son of Ajoob Ansari, a labourer. Ikhlaq had seven sisters. 

According to the police, Ajoob and his wife were out for work when the incident occurred around 10 am today.

According to Ajoob Singh, they came to know about the incident when they returned home around 11.30 am. The child had fallen unconscious on the bed and his sisters told their parents that Ikhlaq was playing with a “dupatta” after tying it with a nail on the wall. The child was immediately taken to a hospital at Sohana where he was declared brought dead.
