Valuables, including a laptop, were stolen from a car after breaking its windowpane at the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER)here on Wednesday.
According to the police, the complainant, Vikas Sofat, a resident of Ludhiana district, reported that unknown person stole a laptop, headphones, a silver coin, a charger and some documents after breaking the left windowpane of his Maruti Ciaz car.
The vehicle was parked near a guest house on the PGI premises. A case of theft has been registered at the Sector 11 police station. The police have begun an investigation into the case.
Car’s tyres stolen
Panchkula: Thieves stole the four wheels of a Maruti Dzire car parked near the house of its owner in Raipur Rani here on Wednesday night. Sources said the car owner, Mahesh Sharma, who works with the Post and Telegraph Department, had parked his car along with other three cars near the pond in front of his house. He came to know about the theft this morning. After receiving information, a police team reached the spot and started an investigation after registering a case against unidentified persons. TNS
